What I can take on for you

European Union · Veterinary medicines

Dossiers and lifecycle work for veterinary medicines in the EU

For holders of veterinary medicines under Regulation (EU) 2019/6. I take a defined block of work, or I cover a position in your regulatory team during a vacancy or a leave.

  • New marketing authorisation dossiers, prepared and compiled for submission
  • Variations, and renewals where they still apply under Regulation (EU) 2019/6
  • Updates in the Union Product Database
  • Review of SPCs, labels and package leaflets
  • Cover for a vacancy or a leave, for an agreed period and scope

If your company is based in the United States or Canada, an EU authorisation requires a marketing authorisation holder established in the EU and a qualified person for pharmacovigilance who resides in the EU. I help you plan both alongside the dossier.

Latin America · The whole region

Taking your product into a Latin American market

For veterinary medicines, biologicals and feed additives. I evaluated registration files at a Latin American veterinary regulatory authority, so I know how an evaluator reads a file and what triggers a query. I use that in every country of the region.

  • Route and requirements for the country you have in mind
  • Gap analysis of your EU file against what that authority asks for
  • The registration dossier, in the authority's format
  • Correspondence with the authority until the decision
  • Finding and checking importers, with data from the public registers

Authorisation, renewal and labelling of feed additives in the EU

For feed additive and premixture companies working under Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003. I prepare the files and I keep an eye on the dates.

  • Authorisation dossiers for new additives and new uses
  • Renewal dossiers, due every ten years and filed at least one year before expiry
  • Labelling of additives and premixtures under Article 16 of Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003, and the declaration of additives on feed labels under Regulation (EC) No 767/2009
  • A check of your authorisations against the EU Register of Feed Additives, so every renewal is on the calendar in time

I also take on smaller pieces of work, on their own or inside these projects. Pharmacovigilance support, including QPPV cover. Scientific literature reviews. Regulatory documents in Spanish for Spain and Latin America, such as SPCs, labels and dossier sections. Market maps drawn from the Union Product Database.

Every country has its own authority. I know how an evaluator reads your file.

I evaluated registration files at a Latin American veterinary regulatory authority. That is where I learned what an evaluator looks for first, what triggers a query and how a file should be ordered so it moves. Requirements differ from country to country, but the way a file is read does not change much. I work across the whole region, and for each country I tell you early what your product will need.

Veterinarian Former LatAm authority evaluator Regulatory affairs in EU industry English, Spanish and German

You work with me directly

I am a veterinarian with a specialisation and a master's degree, based in Hamburg. I began in regulatory affairs at a Latin American veterinary regulatory authority, evaluating registration files, and then worked in regulatory affairs in EU industry, in veterinary medicines and in animal nutrition.

Today I work independently under the DGF Vet Solutions name, as a regulatory partner to companies whose teams have more work than hands. The person you write to is the person who prepares your documentation and answers the authority's questions. Nobody else takes over your file.

Every engagement is agreed in writing, with a defined scope, timeline and fee. Your documentation stays confidential, and I sign a confidentiality agreement before you share it if you prefer.

I work in English and Spanish, and I also speak German. In Latin America this matters, because the documents, the authority and the importer all work in Spanish.

What companies usually ask me

Which Latin American countries do you work with?
+
All of them. Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and the other countries of the region, each with its own authority and its own requirements. I evaluated files on the authority's side in the region, so I work from each authority's published requirements and from the way I know evaluators read a file, and I tell you early what your product will need in a given country.
We are based in the United States or Canada. What do we need for an EU authorisation?
+
Two things a company outside the EU cannot supply by itself. Regulation (EU) 2019/6 requires the marketing authorisation holder to be established in the EU, and it requires a qualified person responsible for pharmacovigilance who resides and operates in the EU. I help you plan both, alongside the dossier itself.
How do you charge?
+
You tell me what you need through the form or by email. I then send you a written proposal with the scope, the timeline and a fixed fee for each procedure. Nothing is charged before you accept it, and I do not bill by the hour.
Who do we contract with?
+
With me, David Gómez, personally, as a freelancer working under the DGF Vet Solutions name. There is no agency in between and nobody else takes over your file.
Can you cover for someone in our regulatory team?
+
Yes. I can take a defined block of work, such as a group of variations, a renewal or a set of Union Product Database updates, or I can cover a position during a vacancy or a leave, for an agreed period and scope. Your team keeps the oversight; I carry the work.
Can you help us find an importer in Latin America?
+
Yes. Each authority publishes a register of the products it has approved and of the companies that hold them. I use those registers to see who already imports in your category, and then I look more closely at the ones that fit your product.
Do you also handle pharmacovigilance?
+
Yes, as support. I can act as the qualified person responsible for pharmacovigilance for your products, or take defined tasks from your current QPPV, such as literature monitoring or keeping the pharmacovigilance system master file up to date.
Do you have special access at the authorities?
+
No. Every submission goes through the official channels. What my background gives me is knowing how evaluators read a file and what usually leads to a query.
